Police have arrested a Glendora man in connection with a May 4 shooting in Pasadena.
On May 11, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed one felony count of attempted homicide against Derick Paige. His bail was set at $1,200,000.
Just after 1 a.m. on May 4, officers from the Pasadena Police Department responded to Huntington Memorial Hospital subsequent to being notified by hospital personnel that a female suffering from a gunshot wound had just been dropped off.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim was in critical condition and that the shooting had occurred in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The shooting victim was identified as 50-year-old Kisha Berkley of Pasadena.
Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Unit responded to the crime scene to commence immediate follow-up investigation. Their thorough investigation led to the quick identification of Paige.
The Pasadena Police Department’s Robbery/ Homicide Unit and the US Marshal’s Pacific Southwest Fugitive Apprehension Taskforce conducted an arrest / search warrant operation in the City of Redlands. During the operation, Paige was arrested for the shooting.
