Police Making Progress in Homicide Investigation

The Pasadena Police Department released another update on a 2022 homicide that left one man dead.

According to police, at about 8:42 p.m. on May 2, police officers responded to shots fired calls and an alert from ShotSpotter, a gunfire alert system.

Once they reached the scene, officers found Eric Lynn Thomas, 28, in the common area of an apartment complex suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Pasadena resident was unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Following the August 1 press release which depicted a still image of the suspect(s) vehicle involved in the homicide, Robbery / Homicide detectives have progressed in their investigation.

The involved vehicle has been identified as a white 2016-2020 Hyundai Tucson, and the primary suspect has described as a Black man, with a light complexion, about 5’10” to 6’1” in height, and weighing between 180-200 lbs.

At the time of the murder, the suspect was wearing light colored sweat pants and a dark colored hoodie, police said.
