Pasadena police officers will be out in force looking for traffic violations endangering pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as intoxicated drivers, during two traffic enforcement campaigns planned on Friday, authorities said.
Throughout the day, police will be keeping an eye out for traffic violations by drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians alike, police said.
“These violations include drivers speeding, making illegal turns, failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks, failing to stop for signs and signals and any other traffic violations by bike riders and pedestrians,” the Pasadena Police Department said in a written statement.
“Drivers, slow down and allow bicyclists and pedestrians the same access to roads,” Cmdr. Mark Goodman said. “To protect you and your family, we want to make sure everyone is following the rules that keep them safe.”
Also on Friday, the department will be fielding extra officers to look for drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs, including prescription or over-the-counter medications that have the ability to impair driving, according to the statement.
Funding for both operations is being provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Absolutely no mention of the 3 foot separation law between cars and bikes. I think most locals are unaware of this CA law.
