The Pasadena Police Department confirmed Wednesday that four individuals have been detained in connection with the death of King King, a 43-year-old black male from Pasadena who owned and operated King King’s Barber and Beauty Salon in the 900 block of E. Washington Blvd.

News sources say a local business owner claims the victim was stabbed to death and found lying a pool of blood early Wednesday morning.  Police investigators said they received a call at about 12:45 a.m. from a concerned individual informing them of the discovery of King’s body.

Responding police later arrested and detained four persons in the 1000 block of E. Washington Blvd. and brought them to the police headquarters for further questioning, police say.

Police did not release the cause of King’s death, saying that Los Angeles Coroner’s Office will provide that information upon completion of an autopsy.

The investigation is on-going and the public is asked to contact the Pasadena Police Department if they have any information regarding this case.
