Local residents and business people have the chance to support local police and the department’s youth outreach program at an annual fundraising gathering Thursday evening.

Pasadena PAL – the Pasadena Police Activities League – is holding its 2022 Golden Badge ‘Bollywood Bash’ at 6 p.m. at Noor Pasadena at The Paseo on Colorado Blvd. The event is PAL’s primary means to raise money for its activities.

During the event, Pasadena PAL will honor Kim B. and Ferari Domingo Vu, as well as Dilbeck Real Estate, with Golden Badge awards this year.

The PAL Service Award will go to the Pasadena Police Department’s Community Services Division.

Since its inception in 1997, Pasadena Police Activities League has served over 3,000 young people throughout the Pasadena community. The organization focuses on “building the bond between cops and kids” to create a safe future.

Pasadena PAL is a year-round program designed to give community children a safe program to attend after school and during the summer. Through a partnership with the Salvation Army, PAL offers various programs to give each member an opportunity to learn new and exciting things as well as make new friends. The program offers homework assistance, various sports, and a wide variety of different activities that gives each member an opportunity to build character and become a productive citizen.
