Police following a vehicle anti-theft system signal recovered a stolen car and seized cocaine from its occupants in Pasadena on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
Officers received a LoJack signal just before 7 p.m. emanating from the area of Washington Boulevard and Marengo Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Marcia Taglioretti said. The signal was coming from a Lexus that had been reported stolen within the city.
Police found the car in the 800 block of North Oakland Avenue and pulled it over, she said. Cocaine, as well as a replica firearm, were found inside the car.
The driver, identified as 18-year-old Larkin Lee, was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and driving without a license, according to the lieutenant.
Taylor Jackson, 21, of Pasadena and a 17-year-old suspect riding in the car were arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine for sales, she said. The amount of drugs seized was not available.
Details regarding the adults suspects’ bail and initial court appearance was not available Friday morning.
