The 100 block of North Allen Avenue was closed for more than two hours this afternoon in response to a “shots fired” call where it necessitated police closing down three floors of an apartment complex to locate any possible suspects or shooting victims.

Police were unable to find any shooting victims or any suspects, said Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra.

Police were dispatched to the 100 block of North Allen Avenue shortly after noon on a “shots fired” call.

“It (the ‘shots fired’ call) necessitated closing three (apartment) floors and knocking on each door to make sure no one was injured,” Ibarra said. “There were multiple units on each floor.”

The police lieutenant said it was unknown where the shots had come from, so as a safety precaution, Allen Avenue was shut down. Police cleared the scene about 2:30 p.m.
