Starting at 6:00 a.m. yesterday, the Pasadena Police Department’s Special Enforcement Section conducted 27 probation / parolee compliance checks in Pasadena as part of a larger operation dubbed “Operation Silent Night” which played out across Los Angeles County.
The focus of the mission was to apprehend probationers or parolees with outstanding no bail warrants, most who have arrests or convictions for violent felonies.
The tactical briefing was facilitated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Following the briefing over 100 officers from local, state and federal law enforcement agencies went to pre-identified locations throughout the county and started their compliance checks.
The Southern Sector Command Post was located in Pasadena. There were two additional command posts: Palmdale (North Sector) and the City of Industry (East Sector).
In total 158 locations were targeted and searched in Los Angeles County.
For the operation, police say, law enforcement targeted 27 Pasadena locations, made six arrests, and recovered two guns.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Antonovich will hold a press conference in the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration in Los Angeles later today to display guns confiscated during the operation.
