A man reported being robbed at gunpoint by three men early Monday morning in Pasadena’s Central Park, officials said.

The victim, a Los Angeles man in his 40s, arrived at a nearby fire station just after 4:30 a.m. and said he had been robbed at the park in the 100 block of South Fair Oaks Avenue, said Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema.

The man, who appeared intoxicated, said he had been sleeping in the park when three men — two of them in their 20s and short and one in his 40s and of average height — approached him and took his property, according to the lieutenant. At least one of the robbers had a gun.

Hettema said the victim was examined for a bruise to his head but was not taken to a hospital.

No further details were available.
