At the end of last month, the Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation changed its traditional mission of protecting the Rose Bowl’s future, to protecting our community’s future. The “Rose Bowl Community Response Fund” has raised significant dollars to support the many families of Pasadena Unified School District affected by the recent school and job closures, by providing weekend lunches. In addition to raising funds, the Rose Bowl Stadium has worked with key partners to engage and donate additional products on top of the pre-packaged meals provided.

Throughout the campaign, the Rose Bowl Community Response Fund has raised over $36,000 and has been able to distribute over 8,500 lunches to hundreds of PUSD families in need. The Rose Bowl Stadium and Rose Bowl Legacy Foundation wants to thank those who have donated to such an important effort.

Proud partners of the Rose Bowl Stadium and Rose Bowl Community Response Fund include Recover 180, Fiji Water and Top Chops have graciously donated their products to help in feeding the students of the Pasadena Unified School district during these difficult times. Fiji Water has donated 4,080 premium water bottles for the student lunches, Recover 180 has donated 2,500 bottles of their isotonic hydration beverage filled with electrolytes, vitamins, and plant-based extracts and Top Chops beef jerky has donated 2,500 snack bags of jerky to feed the students. Additionally, friends of the Rose Bowl Stadium and Legacy Foundation, READY Protein has donated 27,000 protein bars to the program and Liquid IV donated over 4,500 of their Oral Rehydration Solution packets that help the body absorb 2-3 times more water for the school lunches and Pasadena First Responders. These donations have been greatly appreciated by the Rose Bowl Stadium in all their efforts to provide to those in need during these difficult days.

Anyone can donate a tax-deductible gift at www.RoseBowlResponseFund.org in support of the PUSD families.  As America’s Stadium, the Rose Bowl wouldn’t be what it is today without a community that has supported it for nearly 100 years — we are thankful for the opportunity to impact the community in a positive way during this time.
