San Rafael Neighborhoods Association Welcomes New Board Members

The San Rafael Neighborhoods Association has appointed George Falardeau (top right), George Penner (lower right) and Mary Beth Bridges (not pictured) to the organization’s board of directors.

The San Rafael Neighborhoods Association has appointed George Falardeau, George Penner and Mary Beth Bridges to the organization’s board of directors. 

“We are extremely grateful to welcome our new board members,” Robin Salzer, SRNA board president said in a prepared statement. “Each one of them provides our board with a unique background, skill set and perspective and we look forward to their expertise and guidance this year. Simply another example of neighbors helping neighbors.” 

Falardeau brings to the board a lifetime of media experience from his days as a vice president at NBC Burbank, senior vice president of Pasadena’s Art Center College of Design and as the executive director and CEO of Pasadena Media, the organization that oversees four public television channels. 

Falardeau is a former board chair of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Southern California Gas Co.’s community advisory committee. 

Penner brings a vast amount of real estate expertise as the co-founder and CEO of the real estate firm Deasy Penner Podley. He is also the founder of Penner Design Group, LLC, a real estate development and restoration company. Prior to real estate, Penner spent more than a decade working at numerous advertising agencies. His most recent post was as senior vice president of Deutsch Inc., a marketing communications agency that garnered Adweek’s “Agency of the Year” three consecutive years.

Bridges is a Pasadena native and longtime resident in the San Rafael area. She has worked and lived in the San Rafael area since 1983. Bridges was employed at San Rafael Elementary School where she worked and taught school in many different capacities. She brings a comprehensive educational background to the SRNA board. 

The San Rafael Neighborhoods Association was founded in 2012 by local residents in Southwest Pasadena who believed that the voices of their neighborhood needed to be heard strongly and clearly. The SRNA mission is to enhance and maintain the character,  quality and safety of all San Rafael neighborhoods through advocacy, hard work and an activated community
