Deputies continued their search Wednesday for an 11-year-old boy who went missing Monday after walking away from school, authorities said.

Ivan Molina was last seen about 11 a.m. Monday when he left Eliot Arts Magnet Academy in the 2100 block of Lake Avenue, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials.

Initially, Molina went missing along with another boy, but 12-year old Johnny Martel was found safe early Tuesday morning, sheriff’s officials said.

Detectives did not suspect foul play in the disappearance, Sgt. Anna Fernandez said. Investigators were looking into the possibility he may be with other family members in Los Angeles.

Anyone with information was urged to contact the Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500. Tips may also be submitted anonymously to L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
