Police said the United States Marshal’s Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force on Friday arrested the second of two murder suspects responsible for a May 23, 2020 double shooting in Pasadena.

The attack occurred when two men were stopped in their vehicle in the 1500 block of North Lake Avenue and a late-model sedan drove up behind them. At least one gunman in the sedan fired multiple times into men’s vehicle, police said shortly after the incident.

Paramedics took both victims to a hospital in critical condition. 24-year-old Duarte resident Ray Magee Jr. died three days later and the other victim, a 23-year-old Duarte resident, was expected to recover, according to police.

Police detectives worked for several months developing leads and analyzing evidence before ultimately identifying two suspects. On December 12, the case was presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

One suspect, Terrel Leonard Neal Jr., a 26-year-old Pasadena man, was arrested on December 29 and charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. He remains in custody with bail set at $2,035,000.

The second suspect, 27-year-old Pasadenan Dejon Ogletree, remained at large until Friday’s arrest. Police have declined to state where Ogletree was taken into custody.

Ogletree has also been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder, according to police.

His bail has been set at $2,400,000.

Police said Marshall’s task force team members located and recovered two firearms during the Ogletree’s arrest.
