Senator Portantino Honored with TechNet’s Champion of Innovation Award

Senator Anthony J. Portantino (D – Burbank) was honored with the Champion of Innovation Award by TechNet during a legislative reception this week. The Senator was recognized for his support of policies that foster innovation in California.

“I am grateful to receive this honor from TechNet,” stated Senator Portantino. “California is global leader in technology and innovation and policies that support efforts to promote this part of the creative economy are crucial to our state’s future success and the creation of jobs. As the 5th largest economy in the world, it’s important that California’s intellectual capital is nurtured and continues to expand.
