Sheriff’s Deputy, Brother Escape Injury in Altadena Shooting

A deputy and his brother escaped injuries today when three shots were fired at them in a car-to-car shooting in Altadena,  according to the sheriff’s department.

The deputy and his brother were inside a personal vehicle driven by the deputy, which was hit by at least one bullet, according to a department statement.

The shootings occurred about 3:40 a.m. near Harriet Street and Lincoln Avenue, as a dark-colored Lexus sedan pulled up beside the deputy’s personal vehicle’s driver side.

Someone inside the car’s passenger side fired three times, before the driver sped away.    Deputies searched the area but could not locate the suspect vehicle.

Sheriff’s detectives asked anyone who witnessed the shooting to call them at (626) 798-1131.
