Sierra Madre’s Family Movie Fridays Another Success

The Family Movie Friday series has wrapped for 2013, and continued the successful tradition of providing a family friendly, outdoor activity for Sierra Madre. Through the generous support of the Sierra Madre Issei Memorial Foundation, Sierra Madre Volunteer Firefighters Association, and Mother Moo Creamery, the Community Services Department was able to show five movies in Kersting court, including the Sierra Madre filmed classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The films never looked better, shown on a brand new screen made possible by donations from the Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club and Rotary Club of Sierra Madre. Approximately 250 people attended each showing and supported local businesses in the downtown area.
