The City of South Pasadena has opened a shelter for displaced residents who lack power and heat at the South Pasadena Senior Center located at 1102 Oxley St. next to the public library.

The shelter will remain open for residents without power or heat and no other options for off-site shelter for the duration of the power outage.

More information can be obtained by calling the South Pasadena Police Department at (626) 403-7297. Animals will not be permitted, however animal shelter can be arranged through the Pasadena Humane Society.
