South Pasadena police say that on August 3rd at 5:43 a.m., a man attempted to break into an office of a multi-unit office complex at 99 Pasadena Av. in the City of South Pasadena.
After casing the location with a flashlight, the suspect returned about 5 minutes later, put on a glove, and threw a rock at a window of the office. The rock smashed the exterior pane of the double pane window, but not the interior pane. The suspect then ran back to his vehicle and fled.
The suspect again returned about 10 minutes later and attempted to kick out the interior pane of the window, but was unsuccessful. After failing in his second attempt to break into the office, he again fled the location in his vehicle.
The South Pasadena Police Dept. is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the surveillance video. Three videos have been posted to the SPPD’s YouTube channel and can be viewed by clicking on the following links:
