The South Pasadena Police Department is asking the public to be aware of any suspicious vehicles along the Arroyo Drive that may lead them to an arsonist suspected of starting up to 13 fires over the past several months.

South Pasadena police Det. Bill Early told the Pasadena Patch that authorities have found similar devices at all the fires, indicating that fires were intentionally set – with many of the fires occurring along Arroyo Drive about 10 p.m. The trail also extends into Pasadena.

The Pasadena Patch reported that Arroyo Drive turns into Arroyo Boulevard and connects with South Grand Avenue in Pasadena, where police have identified some arson fires.

Early told the Pasadena Patch that authorities discovered an arson fire in an alley alongside a home in the 600 block of Grand Avenue in South Pasadena. They also found a fire in the parking lot of the high school.

South Pasadena police asked anyone with any information regarding the arson fires to call them at (626) 403-7270.
