The Weekly Crime Summary is a list of reported auto thefts, burglaries, robberies and other activities occurring in the City of South Pasadena. An alert and well-informed citizen makes you less of a target to a criminal. Remember; call the South Pasadena Police Department to report any suspicious activity.

Residential Burglary
• 3-30-13, 8:30 AM to 3-31-13, 8 PM, 300 block of Pasadena. Suspect(s) forces side door open to gain entry. LOSS: Television.
• 3-15-13, 5 PM to 3-29-13, 12:30 PM, 2000 block of Meridian. Suspect(s) pries rear door open to gain entry. LOSS: Unknown.
• 2-26-13 to 3-29-13, 12:15 PM, 700 block of Hawthorne (garage). Suspect(s) gains entry into secured garage by unknown means. LOSS: Guitar.

DUI
• 4-2-13, 12:57 AM, 600 block of Fair Oaks. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Suspect is also found to be an unlicensed driver. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, White, 23 years, Alhambra.
• 4-1-13, 12:01 AM, 400 block of Fair Oaks. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 38 years, Pasadena.
• 3-29-13, 1:37 AM, Huntington/Marengo. Suspect is stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 23 years, Alhambra.

Trespassing/Resist Obstruct Officer
3-28-13, 11:40 PM, 1900 block of Huntington. Suspect enters apartment complex and is told by residents to leave. Suspect returns and is again told to leave by residents several times. Officers arrive and contact suspect who is in
an adjacent office building. Suspect is uncooperative and resists arrest for trespassing. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Black, 22 years, transient.

Embezzlement
February 2013 to 4-1-13, 1000 block of Mission (bakery). Suspect is an employee and embezzles funds.

Expired Registration
4-1-13, 7:53 AM, Pasadena/Glenarm. Suspect is stopped for expired registration. Suspect is found to be an unlicensed driver. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, White, 28 years, Corona.

Defrauding an Innkeeper
4-2-13, 10:13 PM, 800 block of Fremont (Carrows). Suspects enter restaurant and eat a meal. Suspects then run out of restaurant without paying for meal. Officers locate suspect by the Gold Line station. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, Black, 22 years, Altadena. S2 – Male, Black, 21 years, Los Angeles.

Theft
• 3-31-13, 1:45 PM, 1200 block of Fair Oaks (Pavilions). S1 enters store and places loss inside shopping cart. Employee sees S1 exit store pushing shopping cart and not paying for loss. S1 goes to a waiting vehicle, driven by S2, and places loss inside vehicle. Suspects then drive away. LOSS: Groceries. SUSPECT VEHICLE: Burgundy Ford Taurus. SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 20-30 years, 511, 175, tattoos on neck and face. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 20-30 years with heavy make-up.
• 3-31-12, 1:40 to 1:48 AM, 800 block of Prospect. Suspect(s) climbs to victim’s balcony and takes loss. LOSS: (2) Bicycles.

Identity Theft/Credit Card/Check Fraud
3-16-13, 10:46 AM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Lucha’s). Suspect enters store and purchases loss with a check. Employee later discovers suspect’s checking account is closed. LOSS: Shoes.

For graffiti removal, call the City of South Pasadena “Graffiti Removal Hotline” at 626-403-7249. This is a 24-hour a day recording. A written release is required prior to removal from private property.
