The heat will begin to let up today, as temps in Pasadena decline into the 80s one day earlier than expected.
According to the National Weather Service, high temperatures will fall to 85 degrees today, down from the original forecast of 93 degrees.
Friday’s temperature has been revised to 80 degrees, 78 on Saturday, and June will start in the low 80s.
Temperatures will continue to decline into next week, and there is a 10 percent chance of rain on Monday.
The heat wave is still gripping the Antelope Valley, where an excessive heat warning remains in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday. Temperatures are again forecast to be around 20 degrees higher than normal.
