A status conference is scheduled this morning for Corey King, an Altadena man accused of killing a woman and three of her daughters before setting their Lancaster home on fire in 2008.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty. The status conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Department A19 of the Lancaster Courthouse, 42011 4th Street West.

In September 2008, King, then 18, authorities allege, killed the woman and her three daughters, set their home ablaze, stole the family car and then abandoned it about a half-mile from the home, NBC4 reported.

King was later arrested after the bodies were found inside the burning home. He surrendered to sheriff’s officials after hearing his name mentioned in connection with the fire. He later pleaded not guilty to the crimes, NBC4 reported.
