An alleged intoxicated driver led police on a short pursuit through Pasadena early Saturday before being apprehended, officials said.
An officer noticed a car swerving about 2:20 a.m. in the area of Raymond Avenue and Tremont Street, according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Russo.
The driver refused to pull over, kicking off a pursuit, he said.
The chase continued for about a mile before the driver abandoned the car at Highland Street and Santa Rosa Avenue and ran, Russo said. Officers quickly caught up with him and took him into custody.
Eparis Deshawn Holloway, 30, of Pasadena was booked on suspicion of DUI and felony evading of police, according to police and Los Angeles County booking records.
He was already awaiting trial on a possession of methamphetamine charge stemming from an arrest in January at the time of Saturday’s arrest, according to L.A. County Superior Court records.
Bail for Holloway was set at $75,000 pending his initial court appearance, records show.
