A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after being found suffering from alcohol poisoning at a Pasadena charter school, police said.
Pasadena Police Lt. Tim Bundy said the boy, who has not been identified, was found vomiting and lethargic at Learning Works Charter School on Monday.
As Pasadena Fire Dept. paramedics treated the boy at the scene, his condition deteriorated. The paramedics rushed him to a hospital in critical condition, where he was diagnosed with alcohol poisoning, Bundy said.
The boy’s current condition has not been released.
The school operates a dropout recovery program that serves students who have dropped out of Pasadena Unified.
