Make time to hop over to The Bunny Museum in Altadena this Thanksgiving weekend, urges co-founder Candace Frazee, and make it part of annual of your annual tradition.

Billed as “The Hoppiest Place in the World,” the museum announced programming and operating hours for the Thanksgiving weekend.

Candace Frazee, Co-founder of The Bunny Museum said most of the visitors of the museum are from out of state and out of country. She urges locals to visit the museum this weekend to see their collection of bunny-based art, figurines and toys.

“Locals aren’t tourists in their hometown! So we love it when locals do eventually hop over,” Frazee said.

Aside from miniature villages of bunny homes, schools, libraries, visitors can also buy holiday gifts at The Bunny Museum’s Hop & Stop Gift Shop.

“It carries all seasonal items year round. Some people collect fridge magnets wherever they go, but also some people collect Halloween items, some people collect Christmas ornaments. We carry all seasons at all times so visitors can get something special from The Bunny Museum whenever they visit,” said Frazee.

The museum is open from 12-6 p.m. Saturday and 12-5 p.m. Sunday.  Tickets are available at the door and no reservations are required.

The Bunny Museum began as a private collection in couple Frazee and Steve Lubanski’s Pasadena home and opened to the public in 1998.

In 2017, they expanded and relocated to a new location in Altadena. To date, over 45,000 bunny items from antiquity objects to contemporary art can be viewed at the museum.

The museum holds the Guinness World Record for having the most bunny items in the world.

It is home to Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Peter Cottontail, NesQuik Rabbit, Peter Rabbit, Brer Rabbit, White Rabbit and March Hare (from Alice in Wonderland), Roger Rabbit, Trix Rabbit, Rabbit (from Winnie the Pooh), Thumper (from Bambi), Uncle Wiggily, Energizer Bunny, Miffy, and Mashimaro, to name a few.

The Bunny Museum is located at 2605 N. Lake Ave. Altadena. For more information visit: https://www.thebunnymuseum.com
