Walktober, a national program sponsored locally by the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, is a month long event where residents participate in planned walking tours through Pasadena’s arts and entertainment district and tour area landmarks.

There are three more events scheduled to round out Walktober in Pasadena. They are:

  • Sunday, Oct. 28th – A Passage through the Playhouse District from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at 4 p.m. at Pasadena City Hall at 100 N. Garfield Avenue. (free)

The Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition is a volunteer community advocacy group dedicated to the concept of “Complete Streets,” which they describe as a state-of-the-art approach to street and transportation design and policy “with the idea that Pasadena’s streets are for everyone.”

Walking events earlier in the month included a City Councilmember stroll, tour of Glenarm Power Plant as well as a benefit marathon.
