The Tournament of Roses will crown the 104th Rose Queen on Tuesday at the Tournament House.

Lu Parker, KTLA 5 News anchor, will host the event and 2023 Tournament of Roses President Amy Wainscott will announce and crown the queen.

The Rose Queen and members of the Royal Court experience countless benefits; becoming part of an organization dedicated to hands-on volunteerism, discovering opportunities to connect with and give back to the local community, developing public speaking skills and growing self-confidence.

Earlier this month, the Tournament of Roses announced the members of the 2023 Royal Court. Salia Baligh, Alverno Heights Academy, Sahanna Rajinikanthan, Arcadia High School, Bella Ballard, The Ogburn Online School, Zoë Denoncourt, John Marshall Fundamental High School, Michelle Cortez-Peralta, Pasadena High School, Uma Wittenberg, La Canada High School and Adrian Crick, Sequoyah High School were named to the Royal Court.

Applicants from 30 Pasadena area schools participated in the interview process. The committee selected the members of the court based on several criteria, including  academic achievement, leadership and public speaking.

The grand finale for the 2023 Royal Court will be riding on a float in the 134th Rose Parade presented by Honda and attending the 109th Rose Bowl Game, both on Monday, January 2, 2023.

Tuesday’s program will begin at 6 p.m. It will be streamed live on the Tournament’s YouTube channel.
