Twin Palms Restaurant Site Up for Sale — Again

The Twin Palms site is back on the market.

The restaurant, formerly owned by Kevin Costner, located on the corner of De Lacey Avenue and Green Street, closed in 2009.

One year earlier, Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton held a fundraiser at the restaurant.

Kevin Costner and his then-wife Cindy opened the restaurant when they lived in La Canada Flintridge.

The restaurant was successful for years, but near the end it was only open on Fridays and Saturdays and only serving brunch on Sundays.

The restaurant, which was located on the site of a former Auto Garage site at Green Street, was famous for the two giant palms that gave it its name and for the expansive patio where live music and dancing were a feature.

In 2016, the former owners came under fire when they cut down the two 35-foot-tall canary palm trees on the property.

A discussion on major changes that would convert the site of the restaurant to a four-story, 20,530 square-foot mixed-use structure with 3,702 square feet of commercial space and 18 residential units was scheduled to be held by the Design Commission in 2021.

Several times there were plans to reopen a restaurant at the site, but the plans never came to fruition.

Real Estate brokers  Brandon Micheals and Emin Gabrimassihi of The Brandon Michaels Group listed the site for sale earlier this week.
