Two Days of Sunny-ish, Then Back to June Gloom – Possibly Drizzles – Starting Sunday

Pasadena is expected to enjoy some warming today but that will again be followed by a shift towards cooler temperatures, persistent cloud cover, and even some potential light rainfall or drizzle starting Sunday.

If you’ve got outdoorsy plans for the weekend, Saturday looks like the day to do them.

According to the National Weather Service, Pasadena will experience a mix of clouds and sunshine with slightly warmer temperatures on Thursday, thanks to a weak high-pressure system hovering above the area. 

As the high-pressure system moves out, an incoming low-pressure system is predicted to cause the winds to blow from the sea toward the land, a pattern referred to as onshore flow. This will gradually intensify, leading to cooler temperatures and bringing an influx of marine air that will further deepen the cloud cover, especially during nighttime and early morning hours. 

This could also result in drizzle or light rain, particularly during the late night to early morning hours starting Sunday.

The cooler and cloudier trend will persist into early next week with night and morning low clouds and fog.
