Two people died after a traffic collision police say was caused by a speeding SUV going around a car stopped at a stoplight and running through an Pasadena intersection Wednesday night.
Authorities reported that a white Lincoln Navigator, traveling north on Raymond Avenue at high speed, collided with a Nissan Versa that was legally crossing an intersection 700 feet north of Penn Street.
The collision resulted in the death of the Nissan’s driver and critically injured a local woman who later died at the hospital.
The victims have not been identified but were identified as a man from Los Angeles and a 30-year-old woman from Altadena, both occupants of the Nissan Versa.
Following the incident, the two suspects in the white Lincoln Navigator reportedly fled the scene and currently remain at large.
The Pasadena Police Major Accident Investigation Team is actively investigating the case.
