Unidentified gunmen fired at a couple on Marengo Avenue just north of Orange Grove Boulevard Saturday evening, leaving two women wounded and three houses damaged.
A Pomona woman, 29, was sitting inside a car with her Pasadena boyfriend, 31, when their car was suddenly struck with “dozens of shots” at about 9:20 p.m.,” Pasadena police Lt. Jason Clawson said.
The unidentified woman sustained a bullet wound in the arm. Her boyfriend drove her to an area hospital, where she was treated with a non-life threatening injury, Clawson said.
A woman passerby was also wounded with a superficial graze in the arm, but was treated by paramedics at the scene and did not require hospitalization, Clawson said.
Three surrounding houses were damaged by the gunfire, but the persons inside were not injured, he added.
The incident is suspected to be gang-related. No other information on the suspects was available.
