Two Teens Arrested for Carjacking

Two juveniles were arrested early this morning for suspected involvement in a carjacking just past 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, it was reported today.

According to Lt. Jones of the Pasadena Police Dept., a Pasadena area woman was unloading groceries in her driveway when she was approached by two Hispanic males with a gun. Both suspects, under the age of 18, demanded the woman give them her car keys, Jones said.

The victim reportedly complied and drove the vehicle in an unknown direction. When officers arrived to the victim’s residence and performed an investigation, they were able to trace the vehicle to a location in Los Angeles, Jones added.

As part of the investigation, Pasadena officers reportedly traveled to Los Angeles where they presumed the vehicle and suspects to be located. Jones added the officers were able to contact the suspects and subsequently made an arrest earlier today. The vehicle, itself, was discovered a short while later, Jones added.

The weapon used in the carjacking was also discovered by officers, according to Jones.
