The Vallarta Supermarket location in Pasadena is joining the company’s 51 other stores throughout the state in raising money to benefit the Children’s Rehabilitation Institute Teleton USA fund, the company has announced.
TeletonUSA hosted its fundraiser on Univision in December, garnering more than $6 million in donations from viewers to support the organization’s efforts to provide care for children with neurological, muscular, and skeletal disabilities, Vallarta Supermarkets said in a written statement.
“Vallarta, one of the largest Latino-owned supermarket chains in California, hopes to help grow that number by supplying its stores as TeletonUSA donation centers,” the statement said.
Vallarta Vice President of Marketing Andrew Lewis said the company was proud to help.
“TeletonUSA has given Vallarta and our customers an opportunity to show support for an amazing cause,” he said.
Donations can be made at Vallarta locations through Jan. 17, according to the company.
