Vice Mayor Endorses Stammer for School Board

Dr. Xilian Stammer, a lifelong educator and retired PUSD administrator has earned a major endorsement in the race for School Board in District 5. 

“I am thrilled to support Xilian for School Board,” said Vice Mayor Andy Wilson.  “She has incredible experience in the classroom as an educator.  I can’t imagine someone more committed and more knowledgeable to serve our community in this capacity.”

Wilson joins many other community leaders and educators who are endorsing Xilian Stammer for School Board.  Andy Wilson also represents the area that encompasses School Board District 5 on the Pasadena City Council.

According to Stammer’s campaign, Stammer’s entire career has been dedicated to teaching in the classroom, managing school district budgets or developing policies to making schools stronger, safer and better funded.  She has been a classroom teacher, special education teacher, principal, and administrator in school districts, including Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD).

Stammer retired from PUSD in 2020.  She is a committed volunteer, serving as Treasurer and Board member of the Friends of the Pasadena Library Board and previously served as a Commissioner on the Pasadena City Accessibility and Disability Commission.
