Warmer Temperatures on the Way for Fourth of July Weekend

Temps to hit 89 on July 4, low 90’s on Sunday and Monday

A warming trend is due to enter the region on Friday, ensuring a toasty Fourth of July weekend.

Temperatures are expected to rise by up to eight degrees on Friday take the temperature up to 85 degrees in Pasadena and 89 on Independence Day.

From there temperatures will reach the low 90s and remain in the mid-to-high 80s next week.

The weather service forecast partly cloudy skies in L.A. County today, along with highs of 72 on Mount Wilson; 68 degrees in Avalon; 71 at LAX 74 in Long Beach; 76 in Downtown L.A.; 77 in Burbank; 79 in Saugus; 80 in San Gabriel; 82 in Woodland Hills; 89 in Lancaster; and 90 in Palmdale.

Here’s the Pasadena outlook:

Friday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 85. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Independence Day: Sunny, with a high near 89. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 64.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 92.

Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 65.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 91.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 64.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 85.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
