Wescom Credit Union Expands Into 13 Additional California Counties

Pasadena-based Wescom Credit Union announced Tuesday an expansion of its field of membership to include 13 additional counties in California. This move extends Wescom’s footprint into Central California and follows the recent news of its merger with Central Coast Federal Credit Union (CCFCU).

“By expanding our field of membership in an adjacent market, we are able to serve more Californians and make a positive impact in additional communities,” stated Darren Williams, President and CEO of Wescom.

The credit union’s field of membership now spans from the border with Mexico in the south up to the Northern San Joaquin Valley, just below the Silicon Valley and San Francisco Bay areas.

Wescom membership is now available to close to 27.7 million Californians, representing more than 70 percent of the California population, the institution said in a statement.

Wescom has 24 branches and offers advanced digital banking tools to provide essential banking solutions to more than 225,000 members. Benefits include free checking with eStatements, lower loan rates, higher savings yields, reduced fees, and a robust network of branches and ATMs.
