Wet and Cold, Latest Storm Brings Scattered Showers and Plunging Temps

A cold winter storm is bringing scattered showers throughout Los Angeles County Monday.  As of 4 a.m., Pasadena was reporting 0.69 inches of rain and La Cañada Flintridge was reporting 0.46 inches.

But the big news could be the temperature plunge: Monday’s high in Pasadena is forecast to be just 54 and Tuesday morning’sn  wind chill values as low as in the 30’s.

Monday night will drop to 37 with areas of frost by Tuesday morning.

Gusty northeast winds are expected Monday through Tuesday.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 p.m. in the Los Angeles County mountains, Acton, Mount Wilson, and the Antelope Valley including Lancaster and Palmdale.

Monday: Showers likely, mainly before 4 pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming east northeast in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers before 10 pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 37. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 59. Wind chill values as low as 30 early. North northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Tuesday Night: Clear, with a low around 38. North northeast wind around 5 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 65.

Wednesday Night: Clear, with a low around 41.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 67.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 71.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.
