The Pasadena area is in for a wet, wet week as the National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement saying two storms will hit.

First rain started to fall late Tuesday night and continues throughout Wednesday.

According to the report, the first storm will bring in rainfall estimates between .33 and 1.00 inches for the coastal and valley areas, while the south and southwest facing foothills and mountains will likely receive .75 to 1.5 inches into Wednesday afternoon.

Snow levels are also expected between 4500 and 5000 feet Wednesday. Those at above 6000 feet are likely to see 4-8 inches of fresh snow, with lighter accumulations at lower elevations.

Meanwhile, the second storm, which is expected to come in later in the week, is still difficult to time and track although the National Weather Service believes it would most likely affect the southland.

The National Weather Service states that the greatest threat for precipitation due to the second storm will be on Thursday night and on into Friday, with a chance of showers lingering into Saturday.

Expect shower today with a temperature high of 60°F with east winds of 5-10 mphbecoming south southwest. Later tonight will have cloudy skies over Pasadena with winds as high as 15 mph.

Thursday is mostly sunny throughout the day, although rain is likely to pour come Thursday night with a temperature low of 49°F.

Showers are projected from Friday well on into Saturday as chances of precipitation rise, and finally weather reports clearer skies by Sunday, with a temperature high of 69°F
