Police sought a man and a teenage girl who beat and robbed a woman outside the Kings Villages Apartments in Pasadena on Friday, officials said.

The attack and robbery took place about 7:35 p.m. in the 1100 block of Sunset Avenue, according to Pasadena police Lt. Anthony Burgess.

A 27-year-old woman had just visited friends at the apartment complex and had just gotten back into her car when another driver honked at her, he said.

When she got out of her car to see what was happening, she was approached by a girl about 15 years old and a man estimated to be in his 20s, the lieutenant said.

The man began punching the woman, and the teenage suspect joined in the assault, he said.

The girl then stripped the victim of her necklace and rings, while the man rifled through her car and took a tablet computer and a Macbook.

The victim’s injuries were not believed to be serious.

Police described the attackers as a Black man in his 20s, with short hair, wearing a white T-shirt. His accomplice was described as a 15-year-old Black girl, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and long, artificial brown hair.

They fled in a vehicle, but a description of the car was not available, Burgess said.
