A woman chased a burglar from her home after waking up to find the intruder in her bedroom on Sunday night, police said.

The break-in occurred at about 10:50 p.m. at a home in the 1600 block of Fiske Avenue, Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins said.

The resident, a woman in her 60s, woke up to see the silhouette of a person inside her bedroom holding a flashlight, he said.

“She screamed and chased the suspect out,” Dawkins said. The burglar ran out of the home through a rear door.

The victim ran to a neighbor’s house to call the police. She was not hurt.

Responding officers found some items that had been taken from the home discarded nearby, including a cellphone and a watch, Dawkins said. But other items, including an iPad, credit cards and some cash, were not recovered.

No further description of the burglar was available.
