A woman was grazed by a bullet Wednesday afternoon after she and another woman were approached by three men, one of whom pulled a gun from his waistband and began firing.

Police said the motivation for the shooting is not yet known. Detectives have started an investigation.

The incident occurred about 5:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Raymond Avenue, Lt. Anthony Russo reported.+

He said that two women, aged 20 and 37, were standing together outside when three men came up to them.

One of the men began walking quickly towards them, pulled out a handgun, and fired two to three rounds at them.

The older victim said that as she fled she felt a sharp pain.

She was later determined to have been grazed and was treated at the scene, Russo said.
