Authorities have released the identity of a 57-year-old Duarte woman killed when her car tumbled off the side of a road and down an embankment near the Rose Bowl last week.

Griselda Castellanos died in the crash, which occurred just after 9 a.m. Wednesday along a narrow private road in the 1000 block of Paso Alto Road, according to Pasadena police officials and Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner records.

She was at the wheel of a car that went off the side of the road and down an embankment and came to rest overturned in the 1000 block of Glen Oaks Boulevard, police Lt. Sean Dawkins said at the time.

Paramedics pronounced Castellanos dead at the scene.

An autopsy concluded that she died from “blunt trauma,” but a manner of death was listed as “undetermined” in coroner’s records.

An investigation into the crash by the Pasadena Police Department’s Major Accident Investigations Team was ongoing.

Any witnesses, or anyone with information, can reach the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4501.
