Police are looking for a woman seen running away with a gasoline can in-hand after setting fire to a car in Pasadena on Sunday evening, officials said.

Authorities responded about 7:40 p.m. to a report of a burning Chevrolet Impala in the 1000 block of North Summit Avenue, according to Pasadena police Lt. Sean Dawkins.

After extinguishing the flames, fire officials “determined there had been an accelerant used to start it,” the lieutenant said.

Footage from a nearby surveillance camera showed a woman standing near the car when it erupted into flames, then running north along Summit Avenue carrying a gasoline can, he said. She was described as having blonde hair and wearing a dark jacket and light shorts.

No further details were available.
