A Big Night for John Muir High School Band, Color Guard & Drumline

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the John Muir High School Music Band, accompanied by its Color Guard and Drumline, took center stage at the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) High School Marching Band Showcase, held at the John Muir campus in Pasadena. The evening kicked off at 6:00 p.m. on the home football field, with performances from all four PUSD high school marching ensembles plus the district-wide All-Star Band. John Muir’s ensemble brought vibrant energy as they represented their school with pride and precision.

In addition to their performance, the students of John Muir showcased a strong display of teamwork and commitment: the Color Guard delivered sharp choreography and visual flair, the Drumline powered the groove with dynamic rhythms, and the marching band held together tight formations and musical execution. Spectators noted how the group maintained focus under the stadium lights and rising excitement of the crowd. Community and family members filled the stands, lending loud support as each school completed its set. Post-show, students greeted cheering applause, high-fives, and photographed memories with proud smiles. The event also served as a gathering point for school spirit across Pasadena, with the program reinforcing the important role that the arts – and especially music – play in the district’s educational experience.
