A Heartfelt Thank You from Polytechnic School: Celebrating Your Impact and Support

“Hello, I’m John Bracker and I’m the head of Polytechnic School and I’m recording this video to thank you. Thank you for your incredible generosity this past year in terms of your fundraising. Let me give you some notable numbers, some important numbers I think you ought to be thinking about.

First, we received over 3,300 gifts this year from 1,700 of you. We raised over 10 million dollars. For some of you, it was your first gift and thank you.

And for others, it was a gift that you’ve been giving for 20 to 30 years in a row. Extraordinary loyalty. And still others, you’re just getting started.

So thank you. Let me also share with you what this money has gone to help support. Most importantly, it supported our students. It supported the financial aid program. It supported our moot court and debate program.

It supported our faculty and research initiatives that they’re doing with students right alongside, publishing nationally and presenting nationally.

For our faculty, it helped raise their salaries. It helped support their health care. It helped give them more money for professional development in areas of their passion and in areas of school-wide initiative.

On the facility side, we’ve raised money to refurbish the gymnasium, a new floor, and now air conditioning. Perhaps erasing a home field advantage with something I think we can handle. We’ve raised money for other areas of the school that have helped to enliven and inspire our faculty and our students.

So until you receive the reported giving in the fall, I want to thank you. Thank you for your extraordinary generosity. Thank you for believing in Poly and I look forward to seeing you soon.”
