A Morning of Celebration and Student Achievement at Sequoyah School

Sequoyah School’s K–8 All School Meeting was filled with energy and pride as students and faculty gathered to celebrate an impressive array of student work and accomplishments. Treehouse and Egret’s Perch opened the morning with a lively musical performance and colorful Cabezudos parade, highlighting their engaging Black & White Carnival unit in Spanish. Treehouse students also shared insights from their California History Project and reflected on their recent field trip to The Music Center, while Burrow students spoke about their visit to the Henrietta spectrograph, sparking curiosity and excitement about science and discovery.

The celebration continued with a dynamic live demonstration from the Junior High/High School Robotics Team, showcasing the innovation and teamwork that defined their successful season. Middle School Debate was recognized for their outstanding achievement, earning fourth place at the Poly Tri-League Tournament. Junior High students then took the stage to present their compelling research on women chemists, demonstrating both depth of knowledge and thoughtful inquiry. The morning concluded with well-deserved recognition for this year’s St. Baldrick’s team and middle school athletes, making for a vibrant and memorable gathering that truly reflected the spirit of the Sequoyah community.
