A Year of Remembrance and Renewal at Saint Mark’s School

The Saint Mark’s School community chapel was a meaningful time of reflection, connection, and togetherness. One year after the Eaton Fire, the community gathered to pause, remember, and honor both loss and resilience. Faculty, students, families, and staff came together in a shared space of quiet support, allowing reflection to unfold naturally and collectively. It was a moment to acknowledge the journey of the past year while standing in unity and compassion. The Head of School offered heartfelt and moving words that resonated deeply, reminding everyone of the strength found in community and care for one another. A powerful gospel choir performance followed, filling the chapel with music that carried hope, healing, and renewed spirit. The gathering concluded with the gentle act of blowing bubbles, a simple yet beautiful gesture symbolizing gratitude, hope, and renewal as they drifted into the air.
