Altadena Arts Magnet Gets Ready to Greet Students in Tomorrow’s Teacher Parade

Altadena Arts Magnet’s Teacher Parade takes place tomorrow, April 24 th from approx. 10:00AM- 12:00PM. Principal, Dr. Benita Scheckel, teachers and staff will greet students and families from a safe distance as they drive by the homes of all current Altadena Arts Magnet students in the Altadena and Pasadena area.

Students are encouraged to stand on porches or in their driveways with a parent or guardian to wave hello, and the school’s website will push out live updates so families can see the parade route and get frequent location updates so they know when to stand outside. AAM students who live outside of Altadena/Pasadena may park in front of the Equestrian Center at 644 W. Loma Alta Dr., Altadena 91001 where they may wave from
their vehicles as the parade passes by.

Families are encouraged to ensure their contact information is up-to-date in order to ensure their home is on the parade route and to receive text message updates when teachers near their homes. More details are available on the school’s Facebook page: facebook.com/altadenacougars.

Altadena Arts Magnet is a public school serving students in grades K-5. In addition to its popular arts magnet program, the school offers French Immersion and Pre-K options.
