Alverno High School to Offer Mandarin Chinese This Fall

Alverno High School is excited to offer a new language opportunity in the fall. If one has ever dreamed of traveling to Asia or has an interest of studying business in college then this is a chance for them to take Mandarin lessons!

Alverno announced that they will now offer Mandarin Chinese as an additional language for students to take. Students who choose to enroll in the Mandarin classes may take the classes in addition to or in replacement of Spanish! The classes will begin in the fall and logistics are listed as follows:

– The class will be taught on Fridays from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Alverno
– There will be daily, independent online practice
– Students can receive 10 units of Foreign Language credit per year.
– Take instead of Spanish OR in addition!
– $210/quarter (payable per quarter)— that’s only $84 a month!

This class will be a wonderful way for students to learn a second, or even third, language in a small, comfortable setting! Students definitely don’t want to miss this opportunity!
