Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day Resolution Passes Unanimously

After reading moving personal family history about the atrocities committed during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, Blair’s Armenian Academy founder Maro Najarian Yacoubian, three Blair students – Natalie Garanian (6th grade), Megheti Baghdasarian (10th grade) and Shahan Shahoian (10th grade) – plus Webster 5th grader Teni Jahjah called for a resolution at last night’s Pasadena Unified board of education meeting to acknowledge April 24 as Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. The resolution passed unanimously.
